George Washington - Mount Vernon
George Washington was the first President of the United States, the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Washington was also a horticulturist, farmer and landscape designer at heart. American Heritage Trees is honored to be working with Mount Vernon in the collection of seeds and propagation of several trees, including Sycamore, Redbud, Sweet Gum, Hornbeam, and Red Buckeye.
